A Lake Erie Maternity Session | Cleveland Maternity Photographer

There is something especially beautiful about photographing a couple just before they become parents. This Lake Erie maternity session was filled with so much laughter, affection, and genuine connection, making it one of those evenings I knew I would love looking back on.

We started in the meadow, where the soft evening light and tall grasses created a beautiful, natural setting for their maternity portraits. From there, we made our way to the beach along Lake Erie for a completely different feel. The shoreline, open sky, and warm light gave us some of my favorite images from their session.

What I loved most, though, was how comfortable these two were together. There was plenty of laughing and those quiet little moments that happen naturally when a couple is simply enjoying being together. It felt less like a photo session and more like an evening spent celebrating this exciting chapter before their baby arrived.

And then came sweet baby Lily.

Looking back at their maternity images knowing that their beautiful daughter would soon be in their arms makes these photographs even more meaningful. These are the moments I love preserving for my clients: not only the anticipation of meeting their baby, but the connection between two people before their family grows.

Lake Erie is one of my favorite places for maternity photography around Cleveland because it offers so much variety in one session. We can move from a peaceful meadow to the shoreline and create a collection of images that feels both timeless and personal.

I am so happy we captured this little piece of their story before Lily arrived.
