About
Well before the birth of my own two children began my passion for photography. I was a child myself when I started to capture images using my parents Nikon 35mm camera.
I studied and majored in photography at Loyola University of Chicago and in 1999 I officially started my photography business in the Cleveland area. Even though I’ve had many opportunities to work on other projects I choose to only photograph newborns, babies, children and families.

I knew that was what I wanted to do.
Katherine is a qualified and trained newborn photographer with 25 years of experience working with newborns and babies. With her mother’s touch and gentle posing you can be sure that your baby is in the best possible hands during your session.
Credentials & Experience
In college, I spent 6 amazing months studying in Italy and got to travel all over Europe!
My favorite food is an Italian beef sandwich from the world famous Portillo’s in Chicago.
After I graduated from college I spent the summer in Crested Butte, Colorado and took photos of people white water rafting! I also figured out that I didn’t want to be an adventure photographer!
Whenever I’m stressed I like to clean to take my mind off of things and as a bonus I have a very clean house and studio!

Inquire and Book
Everything begins with a little conversation. Let’s connect and discuss exactly what you envision for your session and what you want to take home as far as keepsakes. I want to hear all about your family and plan all the details for your dream session. We will then be able to provide information and options to celebrate whatever milestone you are wanting to commemorate. We’ll finalize your date and I’ll send you an invoice for the session fee and contract.

For maternity and newborn sessions we will have a curated wardrobe available for all our mamas. This saves time and hassle of finding something to wear! If doing a studio newborn session, we will also decide the color scheme of the wraps and backdrops we use. Don't worry, we are here to answer all the questions to put your mind at ease and create a stress-free environment and experience. If we’re doing an outdoor session we will discuss locations that work specifically for your family and plan a meeting spot.

Session Day
One the day of your session you’ll be able to relax and watch the magic unfold. Based on our planning, we’ll have everything ready to go. We want this to be as stress-free as possible for you and your family. The studio has everything that’s needed for your newborn and family.

Get the tissues ready! At your Viewing and Ordering appointment, Katherine will assist you in the selection of your chosen artwork, where to hang them, and what sizes will work best in your home. From incredible canvases to custom-made albums designed in-studio by our very own hands. You only take home what you absolutely love from your session with help every step of the way. Our goal is for you to have gorgeous images that you are proud to display in your home and pass down to generations to come.

Image Delivery
I fully retouch all of the images you’ve chosen. Digital images will be sent to you via email that will lead you to your online gallery. From that link, you can download and share images with the whole family. Your artwork will arrive within 4-5 weeks and will be ready to decorate your home.
