Audrey’s Family Photography Session at the Cleveland Museum of Art

There is something so special about watching a family grow in front of my camera, and I have had the joy of photographing this family many, many times over the years. I first met them when Miss Audrey was just a newborn, and it is hard to believe how much she has grown since then!

For this year’s family photography session, we decided to change things up and head to the Cleveland Museum of Art. It was such a beautiful setting for an evening together, with plenty of room for the kids to explore, play and simply be themselves.

And, of course, I was thrilled when Henry came along too! I always love when families include their dogs in their portraits, and Henry is one of the sweetest little guys. He wanted nothing more than to be right in the middle of all the attention from his family. He even gave me some of the most adorable head tilts, thanks to one of my favorite photography tricks: a squeaky toy. Sometimes you just have to have the right tools!

Mom, as always, had everyone’s outfits absolutely on point. Audrey wore a beautiful dress from my client wardrobe, and she loved it so much that Mom ended up buying her one of her own after the session. And really, if you’re going to twirl, you need the right dress!

So twirl and dance we did.

There was plenty of movement, laughter and those little in between moments that make family photographs feel like your family. It was such a wonderful evening, and I loved having the chance to see everyone again.

One of my favorite parts of being a Cleveland family photographer is getting to photograph families year after year and seeing their stories unfold. From Audrey’s newborn photographs to these beautiful family portraits at the Cleveland Museum of Art, I feel incredibly lucky to be invited back again and again.
