Cleveland Cake Smash Photographer | Ember’s Butterfly First Birthday Session
As a Cleveland cake smash photographer, one of my favorite parts of this job is watching families grow over the years. I first photographed Ember during her newborn session, so seeing her back in the studio for her first birthday was incredibly special. Even sweeter, her big brother and sister joined her for the session too. I photographed both of them during their own baby milestones, which made this session feel especially meaningful.
From the moment Ember arrived, she was full of smiles. She was happy throughout the entire session and absolutely loved being the center of attention. Because she was so expressive, we captured so many sweet moments right from the start.
For her cake smash setup, we created a soft pastel balloon garland with delicate butterfly accents. The colors worked perfectly with the beautiful dress her mom brought for the session. Altogether, the setup felt light, whimsical, and perfect for celebrating a first birthday girl.
Once the cake came out, Ember wasted no time digging in. In fact, her big brother and sister were just as excited about the cake smash as she was. Before long, they were right beside her helping eat the cake and making everyone laugh. Those candid sibling moments ended up being some of my favorite images from the session because they captured their personalities so perfectly.
Not only was Ember adorable during her cake smash, but it was also so meaningful to see these three siblings together again in my studio. Watching families grow over the years is one of the best parts of being a photographer, and sessions like this are a reminder of why I love what I do.
