Seren’s Korean doljabi first birthday session in Cleveland was filled with meaningful traditions, beautiful family moments, and so many smiles. Sweet Seren, also known as Doah to her mom and dad, was all smiles for her first birthday session. We started with family photos and then moved into a beautiful doljabi celebration. Seren wore a colorful traditional Korean outfit that her parents brought for the occasion and it was absolutely stunning. She even kept her hat on for most of the photos which made everything even sweeter.
The doljabi is a Korean first birthday tradition where a baby is placed in front of symbolic objects and encouraged to choose one. The item they pick is believed to hint at their future personality or career. It was such a meaningful tradition to photograph and I loved capturing these special moments for their family.
To finish the session, we celebrated with a star themed cake smash. Seren loved every second of it, especially the cake. She was full of smiles from start to finish and brought so much joy into the studio.

If you are looking for a Cleveland baby photographer for a first birthday session, cake smash, or traditional cultural celebration like a Korean doljabi, I would love to help you plan something meaningful for your family. I photograph babies and families throughout Cleveland, Westlake, Avon, Rocky River, Bay Village, and the surrounding Northeast Ohio areas.
I genuinely want to learn more about you and start creating your dream session!
It all starts with a little conversation.
