Jade’s 2nd Birthday Cake Smash Session | Cleveland Cake Smash Photographer

One of the greatest joys of being a Cleveland cake smash photographer is getting the opportunity to watch families grow through the years. Jade recently visited the studio for her 2nd birthday cake smash session, and it was extra special because I have been photographing her since she was a newborn.

It feels like just yesterday I was capturing Jade’s newborn portraits, and then her first birthday milestone session. Seeing her return for her second birthday celebration was such a wonderful reminder of how quickly little ones grow.

For the first portion of her session, we used our adorable pink bow wall backdrop. The soft pink bows created the perfect setting for this sweet little girl, and Jade absolutely lit up the studio with her smiles and playful personality. These portraits perfectly captured this fun and energetic stage of toddlerhood.

For her second setup, we switched to a classic black-and-white color scheme. I love incorporating timeless birthday portrait setups that allow a child’s expressions and personality to shine. The simple color palette created beautiful images that her family will treasure for years to come.

Of course, no cake smash session is complete without a few memorable surprises. Jade arrived with her favorite stuffed bunny, and it quickly became clear that bunny was going to be part of the celebration. She made sure her special friend got plenty of cake too! Watching her share her birthday treat with her beloved bunny created some of the sweetest moments from the session and resulted in some truly priceless photographs.

As a Cleveland milestone photographer, I love building relationships with families and documenting each stage of their journey. During Jade’s session, I received some exciting news that made the day even more special. Her family shared that Jade will be becoming a big sister later this summer!

I was absolutely thrilled to hear the news and honored that I have been able to document so many important milestones for this wonderful family. From newborn portraits to first birthday photos, second birthday celebrations, and now the anticipation of a new baby, it has been such a privilege to capture these memories along the way.

Jade, thank you for another amazing session. Happy 2nd Birthday! I cannot wait to meet your new baby brother or sister and continue documenting your family’s story.
