I had the great opportunity to photograph Declan over his first year of life. He was one of my Baby’s First Year clients and I loved seeing his sweet little face every few months. My Baby’s First Year package is my very favorite because it gives me the opportunity to create a relationship with my clients and connect over the course of the baby’s first year. It was such a joy to photograph Declan’s big brother too at the newborn session and again at his one year session. Both boys are getting so big! I am completely obsessed over the the newborn photos of the the two boys together! They are loving and sweet together.

Not every family chooses to do a cake smash at their one year session. I do love doing them so was super happy that Declan’s Mommy said yes to the cake! She chose to do a simple color scheme of blue and green. I loved how it turned out! Sometimes simple is better. We always do the cake at the end of the session. It’s usually a bit of a mess. Not every baby loves the cake but Mr. Declan sure did! There was cake and sprinkles everywhere. Clean up is part of the session!

So as we concluded this first year of photography I always reflect on the images we captured over the past year. How these images will be Declan’s to own and cherish someday. I hope the prints will be handed down to his children and grandchildren. Images to be enjoyed and admired for many many years to come. It’s always a little bitter sweet seeing these little one’s graduate onto toddlerhood. Hopefully I’ll see these little guys again over the years! Happy birthday buddy!
