Astronaut Lachlan was in the studio for the most adorable newborn session! As you can probably tell, I’m a bit of a sucker for a theme. At the mention of the fact that Lachlan’s mom works for NASA I was off and running to find some sweet astronaut props for our session. I couldn’t resist this custom made knit astronaut sleeper and felt planets for the background! Absolutely perfect!

I truly love working with new parents. The sheer love and joy (and yes, exhaustion) that they feel is the most precious moments a photographer can capture. Lachlan’s parents came ready for pics with their new little guy. I had so much fun getting to know them and watch them bond with their baby boy.

As much as I love doing the themed images I also love a good neutral photo as well. Lachlan was a trooper and slept like a champ while we moved from family photos to outer space to sweetly wrapped up.

After the session mom and dad ordered a gorgeous album as a keepsake for their sweet little astronaut to have forever and ever! Welcome to the world baby Lachlan! xoxo, Katherine
