Sometimes sessions don’t go exactly as planned, especially when you are working with babies. More so when you’re working with twins and doubly so when you throw in a cake and some separation anxiety into the mix. Breanna and Makenna were no strangers to me. I first met them at their newborn session when they were just a couple of weeks old and we started doing their Baby’s First Year of photography. I’ve only photographed a few sets of identical twins before. They both look so much like their big sister who I photographed for her newborn session and first year as well. We took some beautiful photos at big sisters two year photo session at the Avon sun flower field. Don’t all the girls look SO much alike?!
The twins gave us a run for our money that day but it all worked out in the end. It took some patience and good humor but we got some beautiful images of the girls. Twinkle twinkle little star was our cake smash theme. Mom bought the most adorable tutus, headbands and necklaces. For their family photos we did a Ohio State theme (go Buckeyes!). The girls were all smiles when Mom and Dad were holding them. You never know when that separation anxiety will set in (or end for that matter). It can be a work-out when you are the parents. That stage can be very demanding but rest assured, it does end. I just take it nice and slow during the photo session and we will (eventually) get the images! Happy Birthday Breanna and Makenna!!!
