Have you ever felt inspired from the clothing you wear? Have you heard of Lionheart Lamb clothing? This is the brain child of my good friend and client Maureen Kyle. The dresses you find in her collection come with “super powers”. There’s a message on every design encouraging our young girls to be kind, be brave and support each other. I love the whole concept of this business and I’m inspired by this brave leap into the clothing industry. Like most Moms out there, Maureen is juggling a lot. She also happens to be a reporter/Anchor with WKYC, the NBC affiliate in Cleveland! She juggles it all like a boss!

Teaching kids to have the confidence to be brave, kind and strong is the message behind her brand. There is no question that instilling confidence is a tough job when you’re a parent. Every little bit helps! For example, if you need a little bit of patience you can wear the Patience dress. If you need a little confidence you can wear the Brave dress. You won’t find princesses on these threads. Instead you’ll find art inspired by women throughout history. It’s a truly creative idea!

The Shoot

Of course I was honored when Maureen asked if I could photograph her girls in some of her designs! Granted these were the sweet faces I’ve been photographing since they were newborns so it was fun to work with them again. Women supporting other women, I like that idea too! So we twirled, leap frogged, laughed and captured photographs of her girls wearing her designs and we had a blast doing it!
