Easter Newborn Photos | Baby Emma

There’s something especially sweet about photographing a growing family, particularly when I’ve been lucky enough to document their story before. So, when Emma arrived at the studio with her mom, dad, and big sister Alice, I was absolutely thrilled. I had the honor of photographing Alice’s newborn and one-year sessions, and therefore hearing they were adding another little one to their family felt extra special.

From the moment Emma settled in, she proved to be a dream newborn. Not only was she calm and content, but she also treated me to a few tiny smiles that perfectly showed off her adorable cheeks and expressive little face. Those quiet, in-between moments are always my favorite, and as a result, they made her gallery feel even more personal.

Because Emma is a spring baby, we decided to incorporate soft Easter-inspired newborn photos into her session. Gentle spring colors, subtle seasonal details, and a light, airy feel came together beautifully without overwhelming her images. In addition, these touches added a timeless seasonal nod that her parents can look back on for years to come.

Of course, no newborn session is complete without updated family photos. We made sure to capture Emma snuggled in her parents’ arms, as well as sweet moments between the sisters. Alice did such an amazing job—loving, gentle, and clearly proud of her new role as big sister. Consequently, these family portraits became some of my favorite images from the day.

All in all, Emma’s session was the perfect blend of classic newborn portraits, soft Easter details, and meaningful family moments. Sessions like this are a reminder of why documenting families as they grow is such an honor, and I’m so grateful to continue telling their story.
