Cleveland 12 Month Session | Jack

Jack is back and we had an absolute blast celebrating his first birthday! It’s hard to believe it’s been a full trip around the sun since Jack was here for his newborn session. My cake smash sessions are all about creating memories from this first-year milestone.

To kick things off we do some non-cake portraits and get the birthday baby reacquainted with me and my camera while warming up for the grand finale–the cake. Just like his newborn session Jack was the perfect baby! He hammed it up almost right away. Those big brown eyes were shining and there were no shortages of smiles too. So many fun expressions! Jack’s mom brought along a vintage outfit that Jack’s uncle wore when he was a baby. Naturally he looked adorable in the traditional plaid jumper.

Finally we got to the cake! Drumrolll… he loved it! Some babies smash it to bits but Jack was more calculating in his execution. He took some small bites at first getting used to this new flavor. Then he was all smiles and tried to share cake with me and his mom. What a sweetheart! 

Immediately after the cake we do a bubbly bath. Not only does this clean up the cake covered cutie but it creates some really fun portraits. Most babies love the bath so we let them splash and play and it’s all good fun. It’s been an honor to capture Jack’s first year of photography! Happy 1st Birthday sweet baby Jack!!!

Want To Book A Cake Smash?

Everything is provided for your cake smash. All you have to bring is the baby!

Cake Smash Sessions include formal portraits, the cake and cake smash, and a bubble bath for a variety of fun and adorable memories.

The Session fee includes all the decorations, outfits and professionally baked cake for your session and bathtub clean up at the end.

We recommend that you book your session at least 2-3 months in advance. If you wish to have photos ready in time to display at your child’s first birthday party, we recommend scheduling your session for least 3 weeks before the party.
